A Toast to All Mothers

Mothers day is traditionally a day for celebration for families in Australia. A day when mothers enjoy a jolly good spoiling and time with their children. And it is a day that I have always revelled in, making time for my daughters and husband and allowing them to do every thing that they like to make my day. This year though, is a little different for me as I am spending my special day with just one of my daughters and without my husband around. I can not recall being apart from my husband for a mothers day ever before!

My day has been just divine though, as my gorgeous daughter made me breakfast, took me out for a coffee and then we did what women do best; a bit of shopping. Don’t you love retail therapy and I can be sanctimonious about it as well. After all, we have put some dollars back into the system, boosting the economy and generally helping the energy of the Universe.

So here is to all of the mothers throughout the world, in appreciation and gratitude to all that they do for their families and communities and the positive energy that they generate. And here is to all of the gorgeous daughters who have made their mums day today, good on you girls. I know that I appreciate the time that my daughters made for me today, to make my day.
