Be Generous to Our Fellow Australians
A number of our fellow Australians are suffering through adversity right now – swine flu or floods – and could no doubt use the traditional Aussie helping hand. It does not take much to offer support in various ways although many people believe that the best way to offer help is by donation of money. There is no doubt that money helps when you are in a crisis situation. You do not want to be concerned about where your basics are going to come from. However it is not the only way to help.
Napoleon Hill, writing in the early 1900’s, identified that it is possible to transmit thoughts and energy. This is now a well respected concept with many people applying the transmission of thought energy on a daily basis. Have you ever had a time when you have been thinking constantly about someone and – boom – they ring you? Same thing, happens all of the time.
So if ever there was a time to send some loving, supportive and compassionate thought energy, it is now. Just thinking about the situation in a positive way, putting positivity generously out there for our fellow Australians affected by the floods and swine flu will help. And the good thing about generosity is that under the Law of Reciprocity is is returned, usually multiplied. So go right ahead, send that love and faith via your thoughts, help someone to feel more positive, focus your attention positively on recovery and enjoy the great feeling that you will have.
Congratulations, you have just added to the positive energy of the Universe and our fellow Australians in this time of adversity.
Strategies to Attract Success – Hot Tip 4
Have you ever decided to do something to attract success into your life, got started and then found yourself listening to that little voice inside your head that says “you can’t do this”? There is not just one little recorded message inside my head but a host of them. They tell me things like, “others might do it but you’ll give up for sure” or “you have no idea how to do technical things and you hate that” and “losing weight is really hard”. These are all limiting beliefs. Things that we have grown up with, acquired from all sorts of places and ideas that we have become very accustomed to carrying around with us. We hold them close.
For that reason they stick like glue and require tenacity and discipline to change. They absolutely get in the way of your success. You know I was recently talking with someone who said to me “that’s ok for you but I can’t read”. Well I was amazed by this because I had shared books with this person for years so I challenged them. It then turned to “well I can’t understand what I am reading” and again I challenged that until we discovered that this was a whole new area of literature for them. There were unaccustomed words and new ideas to understand. And they sure were not going to do it with those limiting beliefs of theirs.
Throughout history there are examples of breakthroughs in what people believe. For example, the four minute mile was considered impossible to break until Roger Bannister did so in 1954 (in Steve Linton, How I Made Six Figures in One Month). He did that because he believed it could be done. That was the beginning of the end for the four minute mile and today it is hard to believe that was ever considered a limitation.
What you believe has everything to do with being successful in your chosen field. Your limiting beliefs will stop you achieving what you have set out to do. You might get started and then lose confidence and faith in yourself. Or you just might not get up to speed fast enough to finish what you have started. Whatever, you need to replace them with positive and strong beliefs that you can do anything that you want. You can be, do, have anything you want.
Start by listing anything that holds you back, this might be the voices in your head, ideas that you have about yourself, things that you have heard others say about what you want to do or what you hear yourself saying. Write them all down and then write down a new and positive belief to replace them. Use this list to choose a couple at a time to work with. Every day, write and say out loud your new belief, talk about it often, think about it often and watch for the time that you believe it is true for you. Well done, you have done it! Now, keep adding to your list in a regular basis, keep working with a new set from your list and see how successful you can be. Celebrate, be happy and have fun.
Strategies to Attract Success – Hot Tip 3
Hot tip number three is – use the Rule of Three, do three things that will attract success. In Hot Tip number two I talked about seeing yourself where you want to be, not where you are. So lets just say that you have done that, seen yourself being, doing, having what you want and now you need to get there. Here, very briefly are three ways to get yourself on the path to attract success into your life.
One – sit down and write down three actions that you need to take to get moving, to attract success. Successful people are taking action every day and if you want something you have never had you will have to do something that you have never done. Write down your three actions. And then break each of those three down into another three very manageable things to do and just do it.
Two – find yourself three successful people to be around, people with whom you have some harmony of thinking. Create yourself a mastermind group. have fun with these people, talk your dreams with these people, shoot the breeze with these people and let your mind soak up their ideas and thoughts. From this group, great creative ideas will come to help you attract success.
Three – do three things to keep your idea, to which you want to attract success, alive in your life:-
- Think positive about it, write positively about it and talk positive about it as often as you possibly can every day. See it coming to life and consider it done. Believe you have achieved it.
- Create yourself a short sentence about it that you can repeat to yourself or say out loud frequently every day. it can be something as simple as “I was born to succeed”. This is an affirmation and affirmations have been widely used by successful people forever.
- Be grateful and show appreciation for everything that you have right now and everything that you will have in the future. Write this down every day, say it out loud every day. Wake up in the morning with appreciation on your mind and go to sleep at night in the same way. It is easy – just say thank you for all of the little things that happen in your day and for the big things that your are dreaming of as if you have them.
Oh and we’ll have a number four just for fun – have fun, love what you are doing and be happy. ✿ ♪ ☼ ♡
Strategies to Attract Success – Hot Tip 2
I talk with a lot of people who do not believe that they can do better than they currently are, they lack confidence in themselves and have settled for second best in life. Often the way that they see themselves is as they are right now, not as they want to be, not as they dream to be. They have squeezed themselves squarely inside the walls of their own little box and seldom venture out to see what is possible for them. Sometimes these people are doing well in one aspect of their lives but suffering in another. You know, one mans version of success might not be another’s, however in general terms, one must feel successful. And, it is hard to feel successful if you are not ok in the three main areas of your life.
Bob Davies of High Performance Training Inc. says that you must have the three key areas of your life (there is that rule of three again) in order; your health, personal life and business. So to get outside of the box that you have around yourself it will help to start with those three areas and the question – “How do I currently see myself in health, personal life and business?”. Followed closely by the question – “What do I want to have in those three areas?”.
If you understand that how you see yourself now might be limiting you, then you can start to see yourself how you want to be, achieving the things that you want to achieve and living the life of your dreams. If you want to attract success into your life, be the person that you want to be, do the things that you want to do and have the things that you want to have. And that may be a very different person than you currently are. In the words of John Lubbock, “what we see depends mainly on what we look for”. Thanks John, I could not have said it better.
Jim Rohn writes in 7 Strategies for Wealth and Happiness about his own experience that he had gradually accepted his own meager lot until he realised that something had to change. Jim was fortunate at that point to meet a successful person who mentored him and being a fast learner, Jim incorporated his mentors ideas into his life and prospered.
The secret to this hot tip is – see yourself how you want to be, not how you are and then there are many strategies to change your beliefs about yourself. You can then start the process of change by visualising yourself being, doing and having what you want and then accept it when it comes your way. You deserve it. Oh, and have fun.
Strategies to Attract Success – Hot Tip 1
I have a coach and mentor and I have several very successful role models from whom I have learned and continue to learn much to attract success. Not only do I have opportunities to discuss strategies with them, but they also lead me, in gentle (and sometimes not so gentle) ways to examine what I am currently doing and what I could doing to be even more successful. You know, learning goes in all sorts of directions. I learn from myself through my personal development program, I learn by watching others and I learn from the kind input of my coaches and mentors. And recently, thanks to my mastermind expedition, I had many opportunities to watch and learn and to have my ideas and beliefs challenged. Very powerful leadership training in action.
I came away with many new and remembered strategies. And one, now firmly imprinted on my mind again, is to surround yourself with people who are successful. Successful in the ways that you want to attract success into your life. So if you want to be a millionaire, it will help if you mix with millionaires. If you want to be in a certain position, mix with people who are already there. if you want to be happily positive and optimistic, mix with happily positive, optimistic people. This is not rocket science but sometimes I need reminders.
Even more valuable is the notion of mixing it upwards. That is, if you already enjoy success and you want to attract even more success into your life, mix with people who are even more successful. It gives you an idea of what it takes to gain that level of success and also keeps you in a place where you have to reach higher for your goals. In general terms, associate with people who have achieved and you too can achieve. It just rubs off. Well good luck with that, I am off to attract success into my life, do my homework and have lunch with a millionaire!
