My take is something like this – when you give off a certain vibration, you attract things of a similiar resonance.

By being around things of a certain vibration and allowing them to affect you – you become of a similiar resonance to them.

Hence by talking to inspired friends you may become inspired.

And by being satisfied, you will attract other people who (and things which) are satiated.
