Let Your Light Shine

I am a keeper of inspiring words – usually in the form of cards and such like given to me as gifts. And today I happened upon one with the following words by Sam Friend:-
“There is in each of us so much goodness that if we could see it glow, it would light the world.”
Those words got me thinking about the path to enlightenment and the journey to becoming a better person. Often we take for granted the goodness that we have within and seek and seek for more and more. Which is a good thing, I know, to be constantly learning and bettering ourselves. And yet if we do not pause for a moment or two and celebrate the goodness that we already have within, let others see that and let our light shine, we lose the everyday opportunity to be the role model and teachers that we truly can be. Every one of us has the capacity for that.
So take this moment to reflect on your own goodness within and let your light shine for all of those around you so that they too can be inspired.

Yes this is so true It’s best to lift people up in good words.
Really liked this:
So take this moment to reflect on your own goodness within and let your light shine for all of those around you so that they too can be inspired.

you are already inspiring me through your light !!
i love reading words of inspiration but i am a keeper of inspiring stories, most of them came from my email inbox. i even created another blog just for them because i don’t want to delete and to share them as well.
thanks for sharing an inspiring thought. as the song goes, “it’s better to light just one little candle than to stumble in the dark… better far that you light just one little candle, all i need is a tiny spark. if we all say a prayer that the world would be free, what a wonderful dawn of a new day we’ll see. and if everyone lights just one little candle, what a bright world it would be….”
I love your first words: “I am the keeper of inspiring words.” So many times we are the keepers of words that hold us back, disempowering words we say to ourselves that are not true and over time we start to believe them by giving them breath. We can choose to be the keeper of inspiring words by feeding our subconscious with empowering words and celebrating daily the good in us and our light will shine. Thank you for this post and inspiration.
