Act Or React – Decide For Yourself
The Global Financial Crisis is just one of a plethora of challenges to come along and put pressure on how people plan their lives and careers. There have been many such events including Swine Flu, Bird Flu, droughts and climate change and if you dropped your bundle with each of these your life would be wrecked. What I am getting to is about acting with intent to succeed rather than reacting each time just in case you are affected.
I am not suggesting that anyone should completely discount world events that cross our paths but we do all know that such things are likely to occur. When considering your life path, it is possible to take into account that major world events will occur and decide how you will cope with them. If you have a business that can be impacted, have some idea what you need to take into account. If your work takes you around the world or through airports, have something in mind for how you will manage that.
The thing is that reacting all of the time is not good in many ways. It is not good for your health and well-being; it is stressful and unpleasant for all around you. It is not good for business and it is not good for the whole Universe. Take the GFC in particular. Much has been said about how bad it is for businesses, how businesses are likely to go under and not recover, how high unemployment is and so on.
Now all of this is true for those affected but it is not true for everyone and all business. In fact, I am hearing from more and more business people that they have had the best turnover in this year to date that they have ever had! If those same people had listened to all of the doom and gloom, reacted to it and done things differently they may have had a very different outcome. It all comes back to making your own decisions about what you will so and when you will do it. Decide for yourself how you will engage with the information that comes via the media.
Act or react; it is up to you. Keep your eye on what it is that you want in your life and put your attention there rather than on any number of things that will occur regardless.
Looking For An Entrepreneur
An entrepreneur is described as a person who is willing to take on a venture and all of the responsibility that goes with it. This French word means “to undertake”; and in today’s world that undertaking is a business one, often with substantial risk attached. So an entrepreneur is one who takes action. This reminds me of the words of Theodore Roosevelt in Chicken Soup for the Soul; “Credit belongs to the man who is in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly…..who at best knows in the end the high achievement of triumph”. I am sure that Roosevelt was speaking of an entrepreneur. Read some great blogs for entrepreneurs.
The world of an entrepreneur is an exciting one with new possibilities on the table every day. While this is not the world for everyone, currently more and more people are moving towards their own business as a life of employment becomes less attractive and high paying jobs harder to find. People are investigating, via the Internet, the endless stream of business opportunities that are presented. So how do you decide to become an entrepreneur and what does it take to succeed.
For many people, redundancy has made the decision for them and set them on the path to be an entrepreneur. For others, life in a job has long held little charm and they simply come to the “fork in the road” and are not prepared to work like that forever. Some people have a burning desire to earn a lot more than paid employment will ever allow and still others are drawn to the pure pleasure of being their own boss!
So if you are thinking of becoming an entrepreneur think about the following:-
- Can you set your mind to something and see it through?
- Are you prepared to do the hard yards that the first few years might take?
- What will you do if you have a setback – do you have perseverance?
- Can you work alone and remain motivated?
- Can you focus on solutions and not the problem?
- Do you take control of your own destiny and all of the responsibility that goes with that?
If you answer yes to those questions then you might just be an entrepreneur and the person who I am looking for. Contact me.
Simple Tips for Success
Business success hinges on several simple but complicated key areas and not on good luck, being in the right place at the right time, knowing what you are doing or being born to it. Although all of that helps, when you look around you and talk with other successful people, you will find the following five factors are present. Take a look at this list and if you do not qualify as having these five key factors present then get yourself onto a good personal development program and grow them quickly if you wish to achieve business success.
Think positively. Find me one successful person, in business or any area of life who does not take a positive attitude to anything that they do. This is important for more than one reason; it is important because successful people attend to three main areas in life – their business, their health and their life balance. Being positive is well recognised as contributing to good health and positive people easily see many of the opportunities that come their way in business and in life balance. Positive people have energy and enthusiasm and get things done. Action is required if you wish to be successful.
Avoid negativity in any form. Negativity draws energy away from you, it positions you to miss opportunities that are sitting right in front of you and it allows you to see only the bad things around you rather than the good. It drives you down. Negativity also attracts negativity, call it karma or the Law of Attraction, but negativity attracts negativity and negative people have to work so much harder to find success. So work easier, identify your own negativity, act on it, stay away from negative people and find yourself a group of positive and successful people to associate with. Find me a successful person who has a negative attitude!
Be disciplined and take action. Things do not just happen for you, even if you do have the power of the Law of Attraction working for you. You have to determine what you want, what you will have to do to get it, be disciplined and get to it. Be disciplined in every area of your life; be good to yourself and make time for your needs, set up your day, week, month and year to take all of the things that you will do to succeed into account. Schedule them into your life and finish them. Celebrate each and every one of your actions and achievements and get to it again.
Take care of your own motivation. It is not up to anyone else to provide you with motivation. This is an internal thing and if you are low on motivation then get your self onto a good personal development program. You will never be sorry because then you will look for inspiration and not motivation. And then feed your inspiration weekly. Never be afraid to spend money on keeping your self in the forefront, because when it comes to business success, only you will make the difference and you are what you think and believe. Thankfully you can take control of both. I can not emphasise enough – become a devotee of self development. Get onto the best program and if you can not find one then contact me from this site – I will be glad to assist because there is nothing that I love more than to see people succeed.
Persevere. Big shots are just little shots who keep shooting. Go into your venture with the attitude that you will give it everything you have, not just give it a go. Remember this, it has taken you years to get to where you are now, it might take you some more years to hit the top and you do not want to give up when success may be just around the corner. Keep at it, have faith in yourself and cultivate confidence – there’s that self development program again.
Make Money Helping Other’s
While it is common in our society for those who help others to be paid quite lowly, I am here to tell you that it does not have to be that way. Seriously, those workers who are helping people on the streets to gain accommodation and those who are ensuring that others children are taken care of really do earn quite a low income when compared with actors or sports players. Why is this? Is it because as a society we believe that helping should be done from the heart and not for money? We are prepared to pay highly for entertainment but not for taking care of others. Well that is the theory that most of us live with.
I am grateful to have found a home business that allows me to help others every day at the same time as earning a serious income. How can this be? It is quite simple really, it just involves being open to a new idea instead of always functioning with the old ideas. The first step for me was to accept that it is actually ok to earn good money while helping others. This did not happen easily, it took quite a bit of self development, working with my limiting beliefs for me to reach the point where I can now accept that that is what I am doing now in my life. Earning good money for helping people and I move in a circle of people who earn exceptional money for helping people.
Want to know how? Well, you might have to do something different because if you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always had. Take a look at something different.
Be Motivated and Make Money
Why is it that in this world the people who do the most helping often earn the least money? Compare a teachers salary with that of a prominent actor. Compare the salary of an ambulance officer with that of a professional footballer. Compare the salary of a child care worker with the salary of a pilot. How is it that this state of affairs exists? Should it not be that those carers and helpers earn at least as much money as our entertainers or pilots? They all have our lives in their hands.
I believe that this happens because society believes that doing good should be done for the sake of it and not for money. In fact at times the people who are doing the most good, taking care of others and seeing that those in need have food and shelter, might earn very little more than being regarded as saintly. There seems to be a view that making money is for the fatcats; the greedy ones who take care only of themselves. There is another way to consider money and what it stands for. Deepak Chopra writes about this in his book Creating Affluence:-
“M stands for making money for others and helping others make money. Helping others make money and helping other people to fulfill their desires is a sure way to ensure that you’ll make money for yourself as well as more easily fulfill your own dreams.
“M” also stands for motivate. The best way to motivate other people to help you fulfill your goals is to help them fulfill their goals”.
I am delighted to be involved with a personal development home business that places me perfectly to do exactly that; make money for the purpose of helping others, help others to make money, fulfill their desires and achieve their dreams. Can you believe that such a business exists?
Little wonder that I feel so happy.
