Enjoy the Trip
As anyone knows when embarking upon a journey, you just have to know how to get there, what to take and what you will do along the way. But then when you have actually started the journey, the real fun occurs along the way. You might notice the new and exciting towns and locations, breathe different air and immerse your self in the experiences that surround you as you travel. Even if that travel is twenty minutes to a local beach.
And so it can be with life. Basically you do want to have an idea of where you are headed, why you want to be there and what you have to do to get there. The rest is about enjoying the trip. To feel, hear, taste and enjoy everything that is occurring along the way. Savor the experiences that you have, good and bad, remember things that you thought to be forgotten long ago but are recalled with little prompting at the right moment. Appreciate the people you meet and places you go as you work toward your life plan.
Ideally, that is the way it is. Like me, too many people, for all sorts of reasons, get lost in the desire to be there. Living in the future as if I was there, I lost track of the beauty of the actual journey and it became almost impossible to live in the present and experience all that was on offer right then. I became more stressed and concerned as my striving failed to bring me closer to the goal. My health deteriorated and happiness and joy flew right out the window. I talk with many people with similar experiences.
Thankfully I have turned that right around. After months of disciplined personal development, I now spend more time in the present, smelling the roses so to speak and enjoying everything that I have right now. Happiness has returned to my life, my health has recovered, I look years younger (it’s true!) and I have moments of pure joy more frequently than I can remember in a long time. Other bonuses include a fully functioning intuitive system, sound sleep at night and relationships that just keep getting better.
This has not happened by chance but by design and I have read many books, listened to countless CD’s, attended workshops and seminars and finally arrived in the journey. For anyone ready to embark upon experiencing the trip I recommend the following systems of support:-

There is no way that I am close to my destination, so now I am just kicked back and enjoying the trip. Every day is a new day and a remarkable opportunity to appreciate every single moment.
Does Being Positive Really Make a Difference?
What happens when you take a positive view of the world, your present moment or the activity that you are engaged in or planning? I have been a student of self development for years now , have read many times about the power of positive thinking and have blogged on it recently as well. Why, you may ask, is it a recurring theme then, in my life past and present and why will it remain a state that I will seek to attain?
In December 2008, Owen and I headed off on a six week journey visiting friends and family and in particular two of our three lovely daughters. We intended to immerse ourselves in the love and friendship that is a part of such a trip. I can tell you that this is not the first time that we have done this sort of trip. In fact such trips have been part of our lives as we have made many journeys of this kind to keep first our children and later just the two if us, in touch with the people who are important in our lives. And it was not always fun!
Sometimes it was just downright horrible. Not this time though and I am confident that this trip was different because we took a positive attitude. With the exception of about 9 days, we spent the six weeks with people. You can imagine that could be trying, particularly for two introverts who love their personal time alone and together. However, before we left and along the way we made a conscious effort to remind ourselves of our plan and purpose in making the trip. That was to enjoy the love and company of those people who are important in our lives.
It worked and I have no doubt that the constant theme of deciding each day to be positive, to take only actions that reinforced that and to ignore any critical or unkind thoughts that might have come along. All of those things combined, along with my daily participation in my beautiful self development program (contact me for further info), created what turned out to be the most delicious holiday of this kind that we have ever experienced. Fortunately I kept a journal throughout (and since) and I can look back on what was happening on a day by day basis.
Amazing really. There were no negative comments in it about any person except those about myself that I was working through at the time. Additionally, every single moment of the trip went perfectly, even if not as planned. We met delightful people constantly, we had excellent service everywhere we went and we made the most of and thoroughly enjoyed the time that we had with friends and family. And that is a lot of perfection to fit into one six week period. Being positive and keeping that motivation made the difference.
Ahhh, the power of positive thinking!! Where has it been all of my life. Here is a site that will give you some easy start tips on how to get positive and create happiness because these go together like bread and jam – yum to both. And whatever you do with these ideas, have fun. But that is a topic for another blogg.
Change Your Life in 5 Days
Sightseeing and having fun in Acapulco
5 days in Acapulco represents an amazing amount of progress for Owen and I. First of all, when I signed up for a personal coaching program last year, we had no idea how powerful it would be in our lives. I was well into this 90 day program when Owen began to notice significant changes occurring with me and I had a sense that I was moving in new directions too quickly for him to come on the journey with me. I was moving way out of negative thinking zone into an extremely positive and action focused zone and negativity of any kind was causing me to move away from the person or experience. Beyond Freedom was the power behind my new approach to life and is the entry level program for Liberty League International.
Let me tell you that this was causing some waves in our normally calm and well adjusted 34 year marriage. At about the time that this peaked, I was overwhelmed by the urge to take my learnings to the next level and attend the Liberty Conference in Acapulco. Owen, to his credit, could see that this was something that we needed to do together if he was to come closer to me on what was turning into a fast and fascinating personal wake-up journey.
The trip to Acapulco was our first major international trip and we set off with both excitement and trepidation. Once there though and we had become accustomed to the freedom of the Conference, we settled in and took everything possible from the experience. The transformation for both Owen and I was pretty astounding. First, Owen had no concept of the way that one can attract success to one’s life, while I had been a student of this through Beyond Freedom and was well into it. Well, he picked it up in record time and by the time the we left Acapulco was practicing it on a daily basis. What a man!!!
Our arrival home has seen us back into the groove in our marriage, able to have conversations in the same language and both working with the Law of Attraction to see our dreams and desires come true. How exciting is that and all in 5 days.
Owen, aka the man of my dreams, is a carpenter and I am a Manager. We are ordinary people, doing ordinary things and facing an extraordinary future. You can do it too, it just takes the first step and a little faith, so take a look.

The amazing thing about this particular Conference was the fun and party atmosphere that went with it. Well, after all, life is supposed to be about happiness and joy. That is what the Law of Attraction is all about.
For us, that happiness and joy is attached to being together, learning together and now we both do that in the Liberty League community of positive thinkers.
