Gather Wealth

Gathering wealth is not all about money! Many people see being wealthy and prosperous as having a broader scope including having an abundance of love, friendship, happiness and peace for example, as well as money.  From my discussions with people, I have found that feeling wealthy and prosperous also includes the feeling of freedomFreedom to do as you please, come and go as you please and freedom from pressure, worry and concern.  Now some of those cost very little in actual dollars although they may cost you some time and energy.

Here are a few inspirational words that I picked up recently when I bought a note pad.

GATHER WEALTH

Every day love humanity

Every day speak kind and gentle words

Tender music keeps life harmonious

Birdsong in the forest keeps nature wonderful

Patience leads to harmony

Repentance leads to courage

Mountains teach grandeur

Oceans teach infinity.

Enjoy.

One Second

Spare a thought for those who lose their loved ones as a result of road accidents. I live in Cairns, far north Queensland and we see too many families left in despair as a result of the tragic loss of life on the road.  I, like many others wonder what can be done to change this.  Take a look at the following message and then visit the website to see what one person is doing.  There you can also read the story of one woman, whose life changed in just one second.  Think about this – all it takes is just one second.

Just One Second of thought could save a life.
You may never know who’s life you save,
But you will know you haven’t taken one.

Safe drivers are life savers.

Join the thought wave…
One Second for Blogging

One Second for life.

Say No to Negativity – Personal Development in Action

In a personal development journey daily life presents many adverse opportunities. I say opportunities in relation to adversity since that is one possible position to take.  Since adversity will come, regardless, it is a great time to practice choosing your attitude.  To succumb to the adversity or rise above it – that is the choice.  And rising above it will always take a great deal of effort and soul searching because it is not by any means the easy path.  Rising above it takes positive energy, taking stock of your own limiting beliefs, working to shift those (because remember they can be shifted and there is plenty of evidence to support that), constantly monitoring your emotions and shifting them to better feeling ones and doing everything in your power to find ways to appreciate the adversity that has come along.  All in all a lot to be done.

And taking the positive attitude to adversity is part of the solution. I offer the following from Deepak Chopra in his book Creating Affluence :-

N stands for saying no to negativity.  My friend Wayne Dyer, the famous author, taught me a simple technique for this.  Whenever he has a negative thought he silently says to himself, “Next” and moves on.

Saying no to negativity also means not being around negative people. Negative people deplete your energy.  Surround yourself with love and nourishment and do not allow the creation of negativity in your environment.”

Magnificent advice from Deepak and I am delighted to be involved with a Company of totally positive business owners. It is a privilege and an honor to be associated with this business and it brings me pleasure every day to work with world leaders and innovators in personal development home business.

Be Generous to Our Fellow Australians

A number of our fellow Australians are suffering through adversity right now – swine flu or floods – and could no doubt use the traditional Aussie helping hand. It does not take much to offer support in various ways although many people believe that the best way to offer help is by donation of money.  There is no doubt that money helps when you are in a crisis situation.  You do not want to be concerned about where your basics are going to come from.  However it is not the only way to help.

Napoleon Hill, writing in the early 1900’s, identified that it is possible to transmit thoughts and energy. This is now a well respected concept with many people applying the transmission of thought energy on a daily basis.  Have you ever had a time when you have been thinking constantly about someone and – boom – they ring you?  Same thing, happens all of the time.

So if ever there was a time to send some loving, supportive and compassionate thought energy, it is now.  Just thinking about the situation in a positive way, putting positivity generously out there for our fellow Australians affected by the floods and swine flu will help.  And the good thing about generosity is that under the Law of Reciprocity is is returned, usually multiplied.  So go right ahead, send that love and faith via your thoughts, help someone to feel more positive, focus your attention positively on recovery and enjoy the great feeling that you will have.

Congratulations, you have just added to the positive energy of the Universe and our fellow Australians in this time of adversity.
